UIS Women's Soccer Camps

Head Coach Erin Egolf

Erin Egolf is in her third season as the head coach of the University of Illinois women’s soccer program in 2018. She is in her ninth straight year as a member of the program between being a player, assistant coach, and now the head coach.

Egolf enters the 2018 season with a record of 16-17-4, and she is already the program’s all-time winningest coach. The Prairie Stars have improved their offensive numbers each season under Egolf, including tying the school record for goals in 2017. Defensively, UIS also improved in 2017 and set a school record with a 0.96 GAA.

The 2017 campaign was a record-setting one for Egolf and the Prairie Stars. UIS went 9-6-4 overall and 6-5-3 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars clinched a spot in the GLVC Tournament for the first time with a 1-0 victory over Rockhurst on the final day of the regular season. UIS finished above .500 overall and in conference play for the first time in program history, and its nine overall victories and six conference victories were also new standards for the team. Two women’s soccer players earned GLVC Player of the Week honors during the season.

In her first season in 2016, Egolf led UIS to a two-win improvement over the previous season. The Prairie Stars finished the year with a 7-11-0 overall mark and a 4-11-0 GLVC record. The seven wins was a school record at the time, and the four conference victories tied the previous record.

Off the pitch since she was named head coach, the women’s soccer players have also had success in the classroom. Over the last two school years, the women’s soccer team has won 31 GLVC academic all-conference awards, tying for the most of any program at UIS in that time span.

Egolf was an assistant coach for the Prairie Stars from 2013-15. In that time, UIS improved its record each season, including winning five overall games and four conference contests in 2015.

Egolf was a star player for UIS from 2010-12. She holds the program’s all-time records with 26 goals and 60 points, and also holds the single-season records in those categories with 10 goals and 23 points. She was a two-time team captain and a three-time all-GLVC selection, earning second-team honors in 2010 and 2012 and third-team accolades in 2011. As a junior, she was also selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Region third team.

Besides her work on the field, Egolf excelled in the classroom earning Academic All-GLVC honors each of her three seasons with the Prairie Stars. She also earned NSCAA College All-Region Scholar honors as a junior and senior.

Egolf also coaches a U13 travel team named FC Springfield. She holds her USSF National D License, NSCAA National Diploma, and is currently obtaining her NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.

Egolf graduated in May 2013 from the University of Illinois Springfield with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, and graduated in May 2015 from the University of Illinois Springfield with a Master of Business Administration.
